Help Us Provide Solar Energy Community Relief for Jamaica
With your help, Jamaica does not go through this alone.
When hurricanes devastate Caribbean and Gulf Coast islands, remote communities are often left without power, communication, or essential supplies.

Sail Relief Team is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering emergency solar power systems, emergency radios, first aid, and clean drinking water solutions by sailboat.
We bring immediate hurricane disaster relief and foster long-term resilience, reaching the communities that need it most.
Every dollar you give directly fuels our missions, covering vital operational costs, purchasing essential supplies, and supporting our dedicated team of responders. Your financial contribution is the backbone of our ability to act swiftly and effectively.
From solar panels and batteries for emergency solar power to medical kits and water filtration systems for clean drinking water solutions, donated supplies are critical to our relief efforts. Your in-kind contributions equip us to deliver the specific aid communities desperately need to rebuild and recover.
Our unique approach relies on the power of sail to deliver aid efficiently and sustainably. Sailboat donations provide us with a crucial vessel to reach remote islands, minimizing our environmental footprint while maximizing our reach.
For those wondering how to volunteer for hurricane relief, our team can always use more hands during an emergency. Just reach out, tell us if you have any experience or skills, and we'll find ways for you to join the team. Even if you don't have any experience, just helping load supplies or handing out food and water can be a huge help on the frontlines of disaster.
The mission of Sail Relief Team is to assist in emergency preparedness and hurricane disaster relief efforts in remote and under-served coastal communities. We address three core needs— Relief, Recovery, and Resiliency— to preserve life and support communities, operating primarily through grants, donations, and volunteer work.
We envision a future where all Caribbean and Gulf Coast communities, especially those in remote and disadvantaged areas, have equitable access to sustainable energy, reliable communication, and essential resources, empowering them to withstand and quickly recover from natural disasters
Founded in 2017 to aid in recovery efforts throughout the Caribbean following a devastating hurricane season, Sail Relief Team emerged from the urgent needs observed after Category 5 Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico. For over a year, Vieques was disconnected from the main power grid. Our initial efforts included search and rescue, first aid, emergency radios and communication, and clean drinking water solutions, all delivered by sailboats to operate self-sufficiently and avoid burdening already overwhelmed infrastructure.
Your generous contributions are the driving force behind every mission we undertake, directly impacting the lives of those affected by natural disasters. From immediate relief to long-term recovery, your support empowers communities to rebuild stronger and more resilient.
Thanks to donors like you, we've designed and deployed solar and battery systems that provide reliable power to schools, community centers, and medical facilities across Puerto Rico. Your contributions help ensure essential services remain operational, even during extended power outages.
Your support enabled us to install and maintain crucial emergency radios and communication systems in places like Haiti. These systems are lifelines, allowing communities to receive vital updates and connect with aid efforts when traditional infrastructure fails
With your help, we've delivered and set up clean drinking water solutions in communities like the Abacos, ensuring access to a fundamental necessity after hurricanes. Your donations directly translate into improved health and well-being for vulnerable populations.
Sail Relief Team delivers comprehensive aid to address the immediate aftermath of a disaster and support long-term community strength. We provide essential resources like emergency solar power, emergency radios, first aid, and clean water, all while fostering local capacity for self-sufficiency.
